Advice for small furries

Rabbit, guinea pigs and hamsters can make good family pets, but they each have their own very particular needs. Rabbits, for example, are social animals and should not be kept on their own. Choosing a suitable pair will ensure that they have a more contented life. If you are thinking of getting a small pet for your children, please take the time to consider the needs of the animal, and the commitment of the family before making your decision (or maybe get the kids to do the research?).

And having made the decision to get a small furry thing please check with your local rescue centre if they have any animals needing adoption before “buying new” at a pet shop.
